One Pot Mac ‘n’ Cheese

Ingredients
- FOR THE MAC'N'CHEESE
- 250 g macaroni pasta
- 650 ml milk
- 3 tablespoons KERRYGOLD® IRISH CREAMERY BUTTER 227g
- 150g Kerrygold® Dubliner® Vintage 200g
- FOR THE TOASTED BREADCRUMBS
- 150 g stale bread (breadcrumbs / panko)
- 40g KERRYGOLD® IRISH CREAMERY BUTTER 227g
- A little fresh parsley, chopped
Directions
- Add the macaroni, milk, and butter to a large saucepan. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat slightly and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring regularly to prevent sticking.
- Meanwhile, heat the butter in a frying pan over medium heat until melted. Add the breadcrumbs and toast, stirring frequently, until golden brown and crisp.
- Once the pasta is tender and the sauce has thickened, stir in the Cheddar until melted and creamy. Season to taste and add additional cheese if desired.
- To serve, spoon the mac ’n’ cheese into bowls, sprinkle generously with the toasted breadcrumbs, and finish with a little chopped parsley for freshness.
