One Pot Mac ‘n’ Cheese

Directions

  1. Add the macaroni, milk, and butter to a large saucepan. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat slightly and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring regularly to prevent sticking.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the butter in a frying pan over medium heat until melted. Add the breadcrumbs and toast, stirring frequently, until golden brown and crisp.
  3. Once the pasta is tender and the sauce has thickened, stir in the Cheddar until melted and creamy. Season to taste and add additional cheese if desired.
  4. To serve, spoon the mac ’n’ cheese into bowls, sprinkle generously with the toasted breadcrumbs, and finish with a little chopped parsley for freshness.
