Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Apple & Sage

Ingredients
- 2 apples
- 3 sage leaves
- 2 tsp honey
- 8 slices sourdough bread
- 4 slices Kerrygold® Dubliner® Signature Slices 180g
- 4 tbsp KERRYGOLD® IRISH CREAMERY BUTTER 227g
Directions
- Halve the apples, remove the cores, and slice them very thinly.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of Kerrygold butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the apple slices and sauté gently until they begin to soften.
- Add the sage, then season with honey, salt, and pepper. Cook for another minute until fragrant, then set aside.
- Lightly toast the bread in a tsp Kerrygold butter in a pan over medium-low heat. Once almost fully toasted, top with Dubliner Signature cheese slices and cover to allow the cheese to melt.
- Once the cheese has melted, generously layer the sautéed apples on top.
- Place the second slice of bread on top and press down gently and cook briefly until the sandwich is golden and crisp.
- Remove from the pan and let cool slightly. Repeat with the remaining ingredients and enjoy.
