Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Apple & Sage

Directions

  1. Halve the apples, remove the cores, and slice them very thinly.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of Kerrygold butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the apple slices and sauté gently until they begin to soften.
  3. Add the sage, then season with honey, salt, and pepper. Cook for another minute until fragrant, then set aside.
  4. Lightly toast the bread in a tsp Kerrygold butter in a pan over medium-low heat. Once almost fully toasted, top with Dubliner Signature cheese slices and cover to allow the cheese to melt.
  5. Once the cheese has melted, generously layer the sautéed apples on top.
  6. Place the second slice of bread on top and press down gently and cook briefly until the sandwich is golden and crisp.
  7. Remove from the pan and let cool slightly. Repeat with the remaining ingredients and enjoy.
