Ingredients

  • For the Apples

  • 1.5kg apples
  • 50g Kerrygold Original Irish Butter
  • 60g brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • For the Apple Crumble

  • 150g cake flour
  • 100g Kerrygold Original Irish Butter
  • 100g brown sugar
  • To Finish

  • Icing sugar for dusting
  • Cinnamon for dusting

Directions

1. Peel, core and chop the apples into approximately 15mm cubes and place in a pot together with the Kerrygold butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Cook on medium to high heat for approximately 10 minutes.

2. To make the crumble, place the flour, Kerrygold butter and brown sugar in a bowl and rub together with your fingertips until it comes together, then crumble it to keep it rough and clumpy.

3. Remove the apples from the heat and place them into an ovenproof dish, then top with the crumble.

4. Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes.

5. Remove from the oven and dust generously with icing sugar and cinnamon.
