The Ultimate Menu for Your Next Ladies’ Night In

With countless work and family commitments, spending time in the company of friends is an activity that can easily fall by the wayside. Why not change that this Women’s Month and gather your girlfriends round for some much-needed downtime? Exchanging stories and indulging in a selection of delicious foods may be just the thing you need to unwind and reconnect with your closest ladies! To assist you with the exciting preparations, we’ve put together a winning menu that’s sure to wow all your lovely guests.
Pre-dinner drink:
Bloody Mary
Kickstart the evening with a flavourful Bloody Mary filled with all the usual favourites including vodka, tabasco and tomato juice. We love the idea of serving it in mason jars where the rims have been dipped in a spicy mixture of smoked paprika and celery salt. Classic cocktails and timeless friendships, somethings just never get old!
To start:
Shrimp Bruschetta
This recipe for a shrimp bruschetta works marvellously when served alongside the Bloody Marys. Sauté the shrimp in Kerrygold butter and minced garlic and serve them individually on a bed of fresh tomato, herbs and kalamata olives. To elevate the dish even further, spread a thin layer of Kerrygold Garlic and Herb Butter on top of the freshly toasted bruschetta.
For mains:
Pasta Bake with Aubergines
This light and healthy pasta bake is sure to be a hit amongst both your vegetarian and meat-loving friends, leaving them well-satisfied without that uncomfortably full feeling. Each serving is packed with flavour and features loads of fresh and nutritious ingredients such as cherry tomatoes, basil leaves, lemon zest and almonds. Get the recipe here.
For dessert:
Chocolate Pecan Brownie Trifle
Filled with layers of chocolate pecan brownie, chocolate mouse and orange blossom cream, this decadent trifle is even better than how mom used to make it! To get your presentation on point, serve them in individual glasses and sprinkle chopped pecans and chocolate curls on top. How could dessert be any better. After-dinner drink:
Hot Buttered Rum
August evenings are still incredibly cold so a glass of hot buttered rum will be just what everyone needs to warm the cockles! Made with Kerrygold Unsalted Butter, it’s kind of like bulletproof coffee – only a lot punchier thanks to the addition of spiced rum and ground cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. This divine hot buttered rum recipe is a sure-fire way to butter up your guests one last time before ladies night comes to a close.
