COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. The Promoter

The promoter is: Ornua Co-operative Ltd., Grattan House, Mount Street Lower, Dublin 2, Ireland.

2. The competition

2.1 The title of the competition is “Win dinner for two at JP McMahon’s Michelin-starred Aniar restaurant and a night’s stay in a four-star hotel in Galway city, courtesy of Kerrygold”.

2.2 Entrants must complete the entry form and answer a test of skill question. Entrants who correctly answer the question will be included in the draw. 

 

3. How to enter

3.1 The competition will run from 18th February 2026 until 20th March 2026 (the “Closing Date”) inclusive.

3.2 All competition entries must be received by the Promoter no later than midnight on the Closing Date.  All competition entries received after that are automatically disqualified. 

3.3 To enter the competition, you must complete the entry form which is available at https://www.kerrygold.com/ie/st-patricks-day-2026/culinary-experience-competition/ and submit your completed entry form by the Closing Date.

3.4 Entry to the competition is free.  No purchase is necessary and there is no entry fee.

3.5 The Promoter will not accept responsibility for competition entries that are corrupted, not successfully completed or transmitted, lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, website, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.

3.6 By submitting a competition entry form, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

4. Eligibility

4.1 The competition is only open to residents in the Republic of Ireland aged 18 years or over, except:

  1. employees of the Promoter or its subsidiary companies;
  2. employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
  3. members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.

4.2 By entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.

4.3 The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:

  1. automatically generated by computer or created by artificial intelligence (including but not limited to chatbots such as ChatGPT or similar software applications);
  2. completed by third parties or in bulk;
  3. illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with; or
  4. incomplete.

4.4 There is a limit of one entry to the competition per person. 

4.5 Entrants must provide all correct information. Use of a false name or address by a competition entrant will disqualify them from receiving any prize.

4.6 The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.

4.7 Competition entries cannot be returned.

 

5. The prize

 

5.1 The prize is dinner for two at JP McMahon’s Michelin-starred Aniar restaurant and a €650 voucher for the Dean Hotel in Galway city, further details as set out in condition 5.3 below. 

5.2 Two such prizes are available to be won.

5.3 Details of the prize:

  1. It must be claimed by 31st March 2026 (see condition 7 below).
  2. The winners must arrange their own bookings at the restaurant and hotel. The Promotor will provide the winners with the relevant contact details.
  3. The date of the restaurant booking is subject to availability at Aniar and a Tuesday to Saturday night within 5 years must be selected.
  4. The dinner for two includes the Aniar Tasting Menu, Irish wine pairing, a welcome glass of Irish sparkling wine and a signed copy of An Irish Food Story.
  5. The €650 hotel voucher for the Dean Hotel in Galway is generally sufficient for at least one night’s bed and breakfast for two and may be spent at the Dean Hotel at the winner’s discretion, subject to the hotel’s availability and the terms and conditions of the voucher.
  6. The prize does not include travel expenses to and from Galway, spending money or personal expenses.
  7. All taxes, insurance, fees and any other costs incurred in addition to those set out above and that are incidental to the fulfilment of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winners.

5.4 The restaurant part of the prize is supplied by JPM Culinary Consultancy Ltd., Aniar, 53 Lower Dominick St, Galway City, H91 V4DP. 

5.5 The prize is not negotiable or transferable.

5.6 The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control make it necessary to do so.

 

  1. Winners

6.1 From all correct entries received and verified by the Promoter or its agents, two winners will be drawn at random under the supervision of an independent observer. The draw will take place on 23rd March 2026.

6.2 The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

6.3 The Promoter will contact the winners personally as soon as practicable after the draw by using the telephone number provided in the competition entry form or by sending an email to the email address as provided in the competition entry form.

6.4 The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. The Promoter will publish the first name, surname and county of the winners on https://www.kerrygold.com/ie/st-patricks-day-2026/culinary-experience-competition/ and the Kerrygold Ireland Instagram page after the Closing Date and before 31st March 2026. 

6.5 If you object to any or all of your first name, surname and county being published, please contact the Promoter by emailing dataprotection@ornua.com with the Competition Title in the subject line. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request. 

 

7. Claiming the prize

7.1 If you are the winner of the prize, you will have three (3) days from the date you are first contacted by the Promotor to claim the prize.  If you do not claim the prize by this date, your claim will become invalid.

7.2 In order to claim the prize, the winner(s) must answer the Promotor’s telephone call or email.

7.3 The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within three (3) days of initial contact, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.

7.4 The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you do not claim your prize within the specified time limited or are not able to take up the prize.

8. Limitation of liability

Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, expense, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize. Your statutory rights are not affected.

9. Ownership of competition entries and intellectual property rights

The Promoter does not claim any rights of ownership in your competition entry.

10. Data protection and publicity

10.1 The Promotor will collect the first name, surname, address, telephone number and email address of entrants along with confirmation that they are over 18 and agree to the competition T&C’s and their answer to the competition question.  This personal information is collected so that the Promotor can identify entrants, check they are eligible to enter the competition and qualify for the draw, and to contact the winners. See also condition 6.4 and condition 6.5, with regard to the announcement of winners.

10.2 The Promoter will only collect and use your personal information in accordance with these terms and conditions and as set out in the Ornua Privacy Policy published at www.ornua.com/privacy-policy

11. General

11.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.

11.2 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.

11.3 These terms and conditions are governed by Irish law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in Ireland.
