#LitFest16 Programme Picks
Taking place in and around the world-famous Ballymaloe Cookery School, the 2016 Kerrygold Litfest is not only a fun weekend, but most of all a real find for foodies looking for inspiration and an unforgettable experience.
The Main Programme is absolutely jam (and butter) packed with workshops, cooking demos and talks from the likes of Darina Allen, Rory O’Connell, Jeremy Lee, Danielle Nierenberg, Susan & Judith Boyle, Claire Ptak, Rachel Allen and many more. Here’s just a taste of what you can expect.
In 2015, three young restaurateurs from Dublin set out to create The Mews – a unique destination restaurant in a contemporary Irish context. Each morning, Robert Collender, James Ellis and Luke Matthews head into the local area to gather ingredients for their awe-inspiring menus. They’ve chosen Litfest to show you how they’ve built such a successful and celebrated enterprise in under 18 months.
While a lot of shows are sold out, there is still a number of tickets remaining for a host of incredible events. To name a couple, Hugh Johnson, quite rightly the world’s most successful wine author, will be sharing his thoughts on what makes a top bottle truly memorable in a conversation with John Wilson, the Irish Times wine correspondent. Elisabeth Luard, an award-winning food-writer of 15 cookbooks, will be taking time out of her day to truly inspire all you would-be food writers.
From tickets to timeslots and everything in between, head to the official Kerrygold Ballymaloe Litfest 2016 website now.
