1. Valentine’s Day Flapjacks

For an adorable Valentine’s Day breakie, prepare some flapjacks in the shape of hearts or X’s and O’s.

Simply manipulate the pancake batter to form your shape of choice when you add the batter to a hot skillet. While it’s possible to do this by hand, you can also use a squeeze bottle for better control or an appropriate metal shaped cookie cutter if you have one on hand.

When serving, top with some fresh berries, syrup or sprinkled powdered sugar and a serving of Kerrygold Naturally Softer Irish Salted Butter.

2. Mini Linzer Heart Cookies

Involve your little ones in the Valentine’s Day fun by surprising them with these mini Linzer cookies that come with a peek-a-boo jam centre.

Thin the jam with warm water so that it spreads nicely or, if you’re serving the cookies to adults only, use a little booze to complement the fruit. We recommend using Amaretto for peach jam, Chambord for blackberry jam or Bourbon for apple jelly.

4. Valentine’s Pizza

Because nothing says ‘have a happy Valentine’s Day’ like a slice of heart-shaped pizza!

If time is on your side you can make your own pizza base, however most grocery stores also stock a variety of readymade bases which you can always cut into a heart shape at home.

For this treat, you can either make one large pizza to share with your partner or prepare cute, bite-sized mini pizzas for the little ones. Our recipe for Pizza Italiana will guarantee smiles all ’round this Valentine’s Day thanks to the addition of delicious, bubbling Kerrygold cheese.
